Google preferences mobile friendly websites

Anybody who catches public transport or strolls through the CBD has probably noticed mobile use continues to grow, counting for a larger portion of internet traffic. Google continuously tweaks their search algorithms to favour websites which are mobile friendly. It has been reported that as mobile use grows, further recent tweaks to the algorithm are ranking mobile friendly websites even higher in 2017.

Want to see how your website stacks up? Google have recently released a tool which you can use to scan your website and see if it is deemed mobile friendly in Google’s eyes.

If your website is deemed mobile friendly, you’ll get a nice green message letting you know all is good.

If your website isn’t mobile friendly, you’ll get a warning message followed by a list of recommendations you need to undertake to get your website playing nicely with mobile devices.

With most of the internet using Google to find what they want, being on the first few pages of a Google search can make a huge difference in traffic coming to your website. Making your website mobile friendly is one of the many things you can do to get your page ranking high.
